Antoher Khan on a charity binge! And I'm loving it! For the gifts God above is showering on them, it is but right that they share a bit of what they have with the underpriviliged. Speaking of Khans, I'm referring here to Shah Rukh Khan who donated a sum of Rs. 50 lakhs to set up the Blessed Mother Teresa Advanced Paediatric Centre at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai.
The modern pediatric centre was set up in the name of Mother Teresa and the late Lateef Fatime, Shah Rukh Khan's mother. The center would provide free services to the underprivileged children recommended by the misionaries. Shah Rukh considered it an honour for his mother's name to be associated with Mother Teresa. He then said something to the effect, "I hope this pediatric centre is never utilized because I don't want any child to fall sick! Touching! Need we say more!
