Fighting the war within
With the sudden surge of realistic cinema in Bollywood (Yuva, Dev), here's another film based on a real life incident that is bound to send shivers down the movie goer's spine.
Movie it (Pvt) Ltd's Indo-Italian collaboration, 'Zoya - The War Within' is an English film being lined up for release. And what is unique about this is its source of inspiration.
The film has drawn from the real-life tragedy of the infamouse Best Bakery case in Gujarat, where fourteen people were massacred in the post Godhra carnage, in Vadodra. The director Dinkar Rao informs, "The film is inspired by real life incidents.
It is about a woman who is raped during the communal riots, loses her child and husband." The movie stars prominent theatre artistes with the title role being portrayed by Ratna Malay. |
