Mani's modesty!
While most tend to believe that the higher you go up the ladder of success, the more you swell with pride, people like Amitabh Bachchan and Mani Ratnam are a breed apart. Humility is still their favourite virtue.
We were impressed when we heard Mani Ratnam blatantly telling someone recently, " I don't see any reason for anyone to put me up on a pedestal. I never said I have a cutting edge over the other directors. There are so many better directors than me. You are as good or bad as your film. "That's what we call modesty. Did you say real critics would currently like to call it honesty? Sssshh!
