Shahid's mother weds!
Neelima Azeem, better known to the world as actor Shahid Kapoor's mother, had reportedly tied the knot with Ustad Raza Ali Khan, son of Ustad Munnawar Ali Khan in a private caremony. According to close friends, the nikaah was solemnised in Mumbai months ago, but the couple decided to keep it under wraps.
"I knew that they are good friends, however I didn't expect it to end up in marriage. But I'm happy for her," says good friend Shenaaz Nadirshah, at whose birthday bash last week we bumped into Neelima and the Ustad.
Raza is, incidentally, the great grandson of the legendary classical vocalist Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. When contacted Neelima had this to say, "Yes, it's true we got married. Actually he was my first love. After my first marriage broke up, I was reluctant to marry agai, but when he proposed me to, I couldn't say no this time. In act, it was Shahid who advised me."
