On Thursday all roadsled to a suburban multiplex for the premiere of Gaurang Doshi's 'Deewar: Let's Bring Home The Heroes'. The invitation card stated that screening would start 'at 7 pm sharp'. The first to arrive were Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam, followed by Amitabh, Jaya and Abhishek Bachchan. Everything went smoothly and the show began but, halfway though, the screening was stopped abruptly.
And Doshi told Amitabh in an aside, "Sir, Sanju just called and said he will be here in two minutes, so let's wait for him." Guess what Amitabh's reaction was? He took his phone out of his pocket, dialled Sanju and told him, "I know, Sanj, you will take another 10 to 15 minutes and all the people are waiting for you here.
So, better hurry up!" He also instructed Gaurang to start the screening. Just minutes later, a grinning Sanju arrived and headed straight to where Amitabh was sitting to where Amitabh was sitting,to proudly state that he was on schedule. AB sure is bringing the heroes home - on time!
