Bachchan's homage to Yash Johar!
Trust Amitabh Bachchan to do things the right way. The veteran actor was all set for the mahurat of AB Corps next production - Viruddh - last Monday, but decided to call it off at the last moment because of the sad demise of filmmaker Yash Johar. This when everything had been arranged for a grand launch, inclucing the confirmations, of personalities such as TN Seshan and Medha Patkar, who were to be felicitated for their fight against the system (which happens to be the tag line for the film).
The organizers tried their best to convince the actor about the bad economics of a cancellation, suggesting that they could have a few minutes of silence and that no drinks would be served, but AB remained firm in his decision, which goes to show his love and respect for the much loved Yash Johar. A fitting homage from a stalwart.
