Competition? What's that?
It is always a no-win situation when two biggies are slated to release on the same day. But director Rituparno Ghosh isn't even batting an eyelid at the fact that his debut Hindi film, Raincoat, starring Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgan, will be facing tough cometition from Swades and The Rising. "I am not aware of the clash.
But even if Raincoat does release with these films, there will not be a clash, because Raincoat is in a different league altogether. This is a simple, intimate, love-story. I am an admirer of both - Ashutosh Gowariker and Ketan Mehta. But I think everyone has their own space. There is no need to clash with each other," says Ghosh. Talk about confidence. Heres one director who knows his business. No wonder his films are so eagerly anticipated!
