A model refusal
The girls find him hot. And fashion designers hail him as the perfect model. But while most models are willing to jump onto the Bollywood circuit, Upen Patel runs as far away from the acting arena as he can. The reason being that there are not any good offers coming his way, he insists.
Also, the guy believes that there is a lot to prepare if he decides to join films. "I'll have to work on my dialect and then, of course, various other aspects that make a fine actor," he says. "Currently, I am a very successful model. I work with the best designers. And I intend to work with only the best, whatever I may do. I am not going to act just for the sake of acting." So the Patel man is happier reigning over the ramp than fighting off the vamps, for the moment. So we guess a certain Amrita Arora will have to wait to romance Uppi baby - on screen, that is.
