Karan Razdan's Girlfriend might have got a lot of flak from the critics, the lesbian community as well as the political Right wingers, but the producers are laughing their way to the bank and the actors are suddenly in demand. The person to have made the most of the film's success is Amrita Arora, who proudly says: "I've never got such amazing feedback. I'm glad Girlfriend has worked because that's what we aimed at. It's a bold subject meant for a mature audience. If people think it's not suitable for viewing, they should not see it."
Well, the truth is people are watching it, and watching her... although boyfriends might be seeing the film with their male buddies and not with their girlfriends, who might be visiting the halls with a gang of girls in return!
