Censored for a true tale
Aamir Khan's brother Faisal's reel love story set against the backdrop of the communal violence in Gujarat has run into trouble with the Censor Board. Apparently, the guy who is playing the Chief Minister in the film bears an uncanny resemblance to Gujarat CM Narendra Modi. And the actor is actress Sonu Walia's husband, Surya Pratap Singh. Besides that, the members of the Board think that the film - actually a love story - is too close, reality-wise, tothe in famous violence that broke out in the state post the Godhra carnage.
Starring Faisal Khan and Shama Sikandar, with Surya Pratap, Chand Bujh Gaya is a two-hour-long love story between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl. But then with Aamir's penchant for research and perfection, what did the board expect?
