Get Snappy - Kareena Kapoor
If you really want, there's no one better to get snappy with than her. But she's a generally cheery soul. So this time, rather than get snappy, let's get happy with Kareena Kapoor.
What's happening with your love life now?
What love life yaar, I feel like an old person. Shahid has started working so hard that we barely get to see each other a couple of times a week. I've also been shooting away from Mumbai. And he's very particular not to be on the phone when he's working. But I guess, it's time for both of us now to be working and consolidate our careers.
So how do you chill out when you're so busy?
Ideally, I feel like taking ten days off and doing nothing, just sitting at home and eating and catching up with friends. But I don't have so many friends, only one good friend who's not from the industry. Of course, in the industry, I have many friends who I enjoy hanging out with. But even the odd day off means getting up late, eating lunch at home and then listening to stories and sitting-in on script sessions. What I would like to do is, do nothing except eat and meet friends for lunch and dinner. Spend time with mum at home. I hardly ever seem to do that these days.
A lot of your ideal situations seem to be centered round ood.
Yeah, I'm such a foodie. I just love to eat and I can't really be bothered about my weight. I don't like the anorexic look that models seem to sport these days. I'm comfortable with my weight and when I think it needs to be reduced, then I get into a fenzied panic because I just can't stop snacking. I just eat anything and everything. I like eating out a lot. Shaahid is just the opposite. He prefers eating at home. I like the ambience of restaurants and hotels and I just love outside food.
Were you not an actress, what would you be?
I never ever saw myself as anything but an actress. But yes, when I was studying I did want to become a lawyer. I even got the law college forms and all that. But thankfully, I was just flirting with the idea. Can you imagine me doing anything else? My God, I can't! I'm very passionate about acting. And I love being a part of the industry. It's such a beautiful world.
