In the eye of storm
Looks like filmmakers making films on historical figures will always face problems. After Gandhi and Chandrashekhar Azad, it's now Mangal Pandey's turn. Apparently, we hear that the Pandey family members now claim that they are not happy with director Ketan Mehta, since they were not taken into confidence as far as the script is concerned. Also, the Mangal Pandey Memorial Committee has expressed its unhappiness over a supposed kissing scene in the Aamir Khan starrer The Rising, and also over the fact that the film is not being shot in Nagwa, which is where Mangal Pandey actually lived. Now if you have been wondering why patriotic films usually go through an extra 'struggle, 'it's just history repeating itself!
