Babul Ki Rani
Rani Mukherjee may have been signed on to play Amitabh Bachchan's widowed daughter-in-law in Ravi Chopra's Babul. But we hear that Preity Zinta was offered the role first and turned it down. The actress apparently isn't quite sure why she declined the offer. "I don't know why I said no to Babul. It would've been great to share the same frame as Amitabh Bachchan. Also, Salman and I are very good friends. But the role, though brilliant, didn't seem right for me," she was heard telling some sections of the media. Well, Preity's loss is Rani's gain, for sure! And the latter's not complaining. After all, it's not every day that any actress gets the opportunity of working with the Big B himself. Or was one Armaan too much for Zinta darling!
