'Smiling' for fans!
Singers turning actors isn't a new game in Bollywood. We have heard that one before and here is the latest...So we weren't surprised to learn that singer Devang Patel is now turning actor in Smile Please, a comedy (what else?) If you remember, Devang was best known for his playback singing for songs such as Meri Marzi (both Govinda starrers). Apparently, Patel had been offered comedy roles earlier keeping in mind his comic songs, but he had refused the same. However, the lure of Tinsel Town was too much to resist and DP is finally taking the plunge. Wonder if this is the birth of another standup comic? Hopefully he shouldn't make us want to curl up and sleep not likely, eh Devang? For Devang is no Anu Malik on the horizon!
