Shukriya is very special for shriya
Shriya Saran a simple delhiite, after the struggle of 3 years arrived in mumbai with almost a dozen films.
Shriya tried her luck in Bollywood, doing the movie, "Thoda Tum Badlo Thoda Hum" with Aryan Babbar. It was her debut film in Bollywood, which was flopped. Now, She is so much excited about her second release Shukriya.
Rewinding the journey, she has done her schooling from Delhi Public School, Mathura Road and College from Lady Shriram College, pauses only at the mention of music videos which changed her life. She came from non-film background, started with Music Videos. Fortunately, She was offered roles in Telugu films by Ramoji Rao. Then sometime back she did the video for Jagjit Singh's 'Kabhi Door Kahin Jab Din Dhal Jaye' and then, Anupam Sinha took her for Shukriya.
Shriya gave hits like Nuvve, Santoshm and Tagore and worked with the Stalwarts of Telugu cinema Nagarjuna and Chiranjeebi. Shriya who trained for some time under Shovana Narayan affirms it starts with roles where emphasis is more on dances. She is doing a highly emotive role in her next film but again somebody else will dub for her."
Shukriya is special for Shriya because she is getting an opportunity to emote in her own language. "She is playing a cheerful girl. The film is set in London and has been shot in London and Switzerland. It not a melodramatic film commemorating death. Bascially this film is about the girl, who know that, her lover (Aftab Shivadasani) is going to die, however she loves him.
