Chokher Bali gets global acclaim
Rituparno Ghosh's Chokher Bali has been critically acclaimed in the international magazine variety. Carrying a very positive review on the film, it comments "The magic of Aishwarya Rai's performance lies in her under playing of Binodini's ambition to divide and conquer the household, while always playing the role of dutiful widow."
The Bengali film which is an adaptation of a novel by Rabindranath Tagore by the same name, stars Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai with Prosenjit, and Riama Sen. The film has made rounds of several international film festivals including the Locarno, Toronto, London and Chicago.
