Importance of Tree in Ramgopal Varma's Vaastu Shas
Director Ramgopal Varma may be busy with his two projects 'Naach' and 'Sarkar' but he still finds the time to come up promotions for his company's films.
For the next release, Vaastu Shastra, which stars Sushmita Sen, the whizkid filmmakers has actually placed an eerie-looking leaf-less tree outside a suburban multiplex. From urban multiplex. From what we've heard, the tree plays an important role in the film. "People will realise the importance of the tree once they see the movie," explains director Sourabh Narang.
"We thought it would be great publicity if we placed the tree we used during the shooting outside the theatre, because people would realise it's the same tree once they come out of the theatres! "And now, we just hope that the 'realistic' tree (it's a fake actually) doesn't do too good a job and scare away all viewers before they've seen the film.
Now that would be ironical, eh, Ramu?
