Diya Mirza don't believe in Tacky Movies
Diya Mirza speaks her mind. "Don't compare Tumsa Nahin Dekha with Julie. There's nothing in common," she says sharply. The reference is to her role as a bar dancer in Anurag Basu's new film running in theatres now. On a visit to the Reliance Web World showroom in South Ex, Mirza cuts short any comparisons with her follow beauty queen Neha Dhupia and her film Julie.
Any reaction to Dhupia's famous statement, "Only sex and Shah Rukh sell"? "That was great line to make her film sell, wasn't it? But being Kitschy is not my style," Mirza retorts.
The former Miss Asia-Pacific is yet to make her presence felt at the box office. But she has a number of films lined up-Basu Chatterjee's 'Naam Gun Jayega' and Neeraj Vohra's 'Dil Sachcha Chehra Jhoota' opposite Arjun Rampal will all be released next year. (EFS)
