Brand Bajpai
Manoj Bajpai defies stereotypes. This multifaceted actor has fought against the odds to establish himselfff in Bollywood. A tete-a-tete with the actor:

On his forthcoming projects: I took a conscious break for some time. Now, I've got four films lined up, Dharmesh Darshan's Bewafa, Pankaj Parasher's Inteqam and Hanan with Makrand Deshpande. Besides I have a guest appearance in Veer Zaara. Inteqam is a very stylish thriller and I play a cop in it. I'm also very excited about Hanan. My character has two different roles to essay, as the character loses his memory and his past is completely different. This role has really tested my calibre as an actor.
On his approach to acting: After Satya I decided to give five years to the Kind of films I wanted to be proud of. I wanted to establish myself as an actor. Now that I have done that, I can settle for other sort of roles. I can now safely say that I create curiosity and add value to a project. I'm now a brand in myself.
On winning the National Award twice: It was a great honour to win it the first time around. But winning it for Pinjar was even more special. Pinjar was almost forgotten at the popular awards and that really hurt. So that, it was a double high when the film finally got its due. I now feel justified about the choices I've made.
On his inspirations: I have done seven years of the atre with Barry John, he's been a great inspiration to me. Also I grew up watching actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty and Rajesh Khanna. Amitabh and Naseeruddin Shah are the perfect actors. In Hollywood, I have been inspired by John Malkovich, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando and Johnny Depp. I quite appreciate Daniel Day Lewis, though he's underrated, I think he's the Marlon Brando of our time. I have also learnt from Mery1 Streep.
