Lolo's First Love
Karisma Kapur is glowing And the reason is not just love! The joy and happiness of being a mother-to-be reflects on her face. In town to launch a range of festive jewellery, her appearance was not Known to many. However, starstruck Delhiites still managed to flock the venue.
Karisma has put on weight and appeared pleasantly plump because of her pregnancy but her shimmering pink Kurti lit up the surroundings as she walked in and stood amidst pieces of precious stones and jewels. She held a necklace in her hand and as shutterbugs requested her to hold on to the jewellery a little longer, she laughed, "Mere haath thak jayenge."
The gathering seemed hell-bent on Knowing about her marital and professional life though she Kept repeating "Let's focus on the jewellery for which I am here." Her request was heard by one who asked, "Will you pick up something for your mother and sister Kareena too?"
And she smiled, "Yes!" But soon the conversation veered back to her career. What about her future plans?
"I will be cutting down on my work because in a career spanning over 13 years, I have done 70 films and now, I don't want to repeat my self." Hence, she is wrapping up two of her remaining films. "In one of them, my character has shades of grey. And such a role has not been portrayed by any actress before," said she.
About her popular serial going off air, added she, "The serial will get over next month. I explored television a year back since I wanted to do something different and my serial is one of the most high budget serials. It ran for 260 episodes which is an achievement. And I feel sad since I will miss the crew with whom I spent 20 hours a day while working on the serial." However she maintains films will always remain her "first love" and she will "continue to do them. I have some offers, but I need time to think over them!"
Even as Karisma was talking, she was whisked away and before anyone could get a whiff of what had happened, she had left through the back door...
