The radiance says it all - the stork is paying a visit soon and Karisma Kapoor is happy. "I am excited, like any other mother," she beams.
The glow on her impeccable skin complements the new range of 22 Karat Tan-ishq jewellery that was unveiled by the actress in the Capital. Ruchika Puri, Head of Marketing, Tanishq, explains the choice of Karisma as a brand ambassador: "Karisma is a beautiful person and balances perfectly her roles as a housewife and a career-minded person."
The normally elusive Karisma, who has been taking it easy on assignments - be it film or television - is agog with excitement about filmmakers approaching her with meaty scripts. "I have got a fantastic offer from Khalid Mohamed and some big-time producers whose scripts I am reading now. They were worried about my present condition but I have assured them that as soon I am back in shape, I will return to what I enjoy doing most - acting. I can't stay away from the arclights come what may, but the role has to be a substantial one," she says.
The actress who has just completed a year of marital bliss, with industrialist Sanjay Kapur, preferred a quiet dinner with hubby on their first wedding anniversary ("just the two of us, no one else"). She loves Delhi: "It's my home now. I love the winter here."
About the baby? "I just want a healthy baby!" she smiles. All the best, Karisma.
