Phir milenge Salman!
Not many know that Salman Khan was in town recently. And for a noble cause! From what we hear, he normally does a lot of charity but likes to keep it under wraps.
However, his appearance at the British High Commissioner's residence to raise funds for a NGO for the upliftment of the poor children, headed by Kapil Dev created a lot of curiosity among guests. So much so, that when whispers of his arrival filled the air, the crowd couldn't believe their eyes! Salman on his part, surprised them by appearing (no, not minus his shirt) but well covered to ward off the cold - something even Kapil found worth mentioning. "It's good to see you in a leather jacket," joked he.
A little later, Lilette Dubey presented her play Zen Katha - The Story of Bodhidharma, directed by her.
After the play, contemporary Indian paintings to be auctioned that evening were unveiled by Salman who kept the gathering in splits with his wit and humour.
Designer Rohit Gandhi picked up Manjit Bawa's painting and MF Hussain's piece of art fetched a good price too...
