Big B-Akki are a Family
Another rumour - that of Big B and Rajkumar Santoshi having a bitter fallout due to the latter's inability to start Ranveer on time will die soon. Santoshi is all set to direct Family, which will be produced by A.B. Corp. and Keshu Ram say's D.M.S. Films and star Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Keshu's son. The film is expected to start shortly. "As for Ranveer, it'll definitely be made," Bachchan states firmly, "but it may or may not star Abhishek and me together. It may star other actors." There was talk that the project had been dropped and Big B had also asked for a refund of the signing amount from Santoshi. "Yes, you do refund money when you aren't associated with a project.
Like I refunded the signing amount of Somnath Sen's film. But Rajkumar Santoshi wasn't pressurised or asked to refund the amount. Like I said, he's still associated with the film and is working on a new script altogether," Bachchan clarifies. He continues in the same breath, "The script of Ranveer hadn't shaped up to our expectations. There was some thing missing in it. If Abhishek and I were to do a project together, it has to meet the expectations of everyone. So, we decided against going ahead with this script. But, I reiterate, Ranveer isn't shelved, it'll be made in the future for sure," he states.
