She Khan, she will act!
She' Sharmila Tagore's daughter and Saif Ali Khan'sister. But Soha Ali Khan insists that her entry into Bollywood isn't about following the family tradition. "In fact, initially, I rebelled against doing films. There was a desire to do so, but I suppressed it. Then I thought that, just because I have a film family background, it's not reason enough for me not to join films. So, it's not about toeing the family line. I'm trying to seek creative fulfilment."
While Sharmila advises her on "scripts," Saif suggests the kind of films Soha should take up. Not surprisingly, Soha wasn't nervous while shooting for her maiden movie - a Nitin Manmohan project. "I didn't feel I was shooting. It makes a difference if you have a good crew and a co-star like Shahid, who's a dedicated actor, natural dancer. I was nervous about dancing with him but he helped me out."
For Soha, movies she takes up should "have a purpose and a powerful plot." And she's game for a bit of sensuality too. "But exposure has to be intrinsic to the script. I don't believe in shedding of clothes just like that."
