Kareena has a blast
Kareena Kapoor seldom gets to let her hair down even on screen. After the bad girl act in Ken Ghosh's Fida, Kareena chose to share screen credits with newcomer Priyanka Chopra in Aitraaz. And Priyanka inevitably walked off with the best scenes. "She had the role of the seductress and from the beginning I knew that I had a more performance-oriented role. In Aitraaz the climax belonged to me and as far as I know, critics and the audience have appreciated me in the film. That's what matters to me." Kareena now gets to team up with childhood buddy Akshaye Khanna in Priyadarshan's Hulchul releasing countrywide today. "It's a light, frothy film with a feel-good end. Akshaye is one of the nicest guys I have worked with. Priyan is a director I have always wanted to work with, he's so cool and relaxed. Also this is my first comedy, if you discount Khushi which also had its moments."
Looking back, Kareena points out that the year 2004 has been "one of the most professionally satisfying year for me. And with films like Bewafa once again a challenging role in a typical love story, Phir Milenge coming up later in the year, I am comfortable."
Kareena has no problems working round the clock: "I never overwork or tire myself. I have a regular fitness regime, I meet up with my boyfriend and when I am too tired I just take off on a vacation." When you are Bollywood's queen-to-be, life's perfect most of the time.
