Picture Perfect
Not too many people have had a sneak peek at Black. In fact, all that anyone knows about it is that it's deep, dark and intense. Yeah, that's Sanjay Leela Bhansali alright. Very few have had a look at the promos (with Bhansali being so cagey about his projects, it is not easy), but those who've got lucky say that the film has an international look and feel. And, of course, that this will be Rani Mukherjee's most spellbinding performance ever. When we ask the light-eyed beauty herself if Black will be her winning ticket to the Oscars, she is light-lipped. "Every frame of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film is like a picture postcard, and I think this is one of my best performances so far," is all that Rani is willing to reveal. Now isn't that called playing 'dumb' with a dash of diplomatic intelligence to make it even more intriguing. And Rani has been one of the few actresses with more 'grey' (cells) than black anyway, huh?
