Remember how Ashutosh Gowarikar simply refused to let Gracy Singh speak to the media before the release of Lagaan? Now he is doing the same with his new leading lady, Gayatri Joshi. And we all know how Gracy benefited from the strategic silence. Gayatri, who has done a stint on television and is familiar as the girl with Shah Rukh Khan in a car ad, is not a new face - as Gracy was during her debut. "That's what my director wants," she says, "And it's okay with me. It's because they want my character to remain a mystery until the release." And she's going slow as far as signing on the dotted line is concerned, too. "I am definitely getting offers for films, but I won't be signing anything until after the release of Swades," she tell us when we ask about her filmi future. And if the promos of the film are anything to go by, we think she won't be short of offers, filmi ones, we mean!
