After Madhuri, Somnath Opts For Rati!
Bengali directors seem to be the flavour of the day in Bollywood. After Rituparno Ghosh, it's now director Somnath Sen' turn to step into the spotlight again. After his critically acclaimed Leela, where he focussed on mature women like Dimple Kapadia and Deepti Naval, Sen was supposed to cast Madhuri Dixit in a new project. However, that didn't happen - Madhuri preferred her real-life stardom - and he will now cast Rati Agnihotri in his next film, titled Himmat. We hear Rati plays a mother who fights to protect her son from being falsely accused of a crime. Will Sen be able to recreate the magic of Leela? Well, he certainly seems to have the himmat to try!
