The 'bride' tops in South Africa!
Aishwarya Rai has added one more feather to her many splendoured cap - her film Bride And Prejudice has opened at the number one spot in South Africa. According to box office reports available, the film grossed an impressive collection of $250,596 from 67 screens across the country. Rai's film is pitted against two Hollywood biggies - Denzel Washington's The Manchurian Candidate directed by Brett Ratner and the action adventure After The Sunset, starring Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek. The filck is currently being screened in countries like the UK, the Middle East, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Africa and Switzerland. It will open in the United States on February 11, 2005. Let's wait and see how the Indian shaadi ka mela will be greeted there!
