She is known to have an impressive academic background and is hardly the typical filmi type; even though she has aired some of her personal dirty-laundry in public, celebrity style. In spite of this, Amisha Patel has managed to preserve her image of being sophisticated, reserved, professional and private, even cold and unfriendly. But Satish Kaushik, the director of a forthcoming film in which she stars, has a somewhat different opinion to share. According to him, "Even I had the same impression, but that was only till I started working with her. Amisha is a good person at heart. The moment you start conversing with her, you'll know that she's soft-hearted and intelligent person. In fact, she's a non-filmi girl - that's what I like about her. I thought she's very cool; but, she's actually simpler than most actresses I've worked with." Well, they do say appearances are deceiving, don't they!
