Bips' Tamil date
With a title like Sachin, a film doesn't need much publicity. But producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, director Jhoan and actor Vijay are also getting Bipasha Basu to play an important role in the film. Sahin has nothing to do with the story of the cricketer, it is just that Vijay, the hero's name in the Tamil film is Sachin. His life undergoes a transformation with his falling in love with a girl, played by starlet Genelia. Tamil filmmakers have invited lots of Bollywood stars to add glamour to their films. Mandira Bedi and Yana Gupta were roped in the Tamil flick Manmadan. Now lifesize pictures of Bipasha in a flowing dress have been put up all over chennai. Bipasha plays an important role and is not doing an item act. If the film becomes a hit will Bipasha take on more Tamil films? The sultry actress has said that she has "no time for regional cinema at this point in my career. The success or lack of it is incidental."
