Making Waves!
Director Ram Gopal Varma is always lauded for his 'hat ke' films, whether they do well at the turnstiles or not. But he tends to create movies in waves the underworld wave, ghost story wave, the Urmila Mantondkar wave, the Antara Mali wave. But Ramu insists he is not working that way at all. "I don't think it is about working with the same people or the same genre. I think it is about sticking to your convictions, without being bothered about the day-to-day result of your endeavours. Each film is an incident. Being in the business, I would not look at it the same way as an outsider would look at it. I would like to stick to my belief - it could be a belief in a genre, or an actor, or in a technician or in the way I want to put forward a business proposal." Well, to each his own belief. As long as Ramu's next doesn't find a gayab wave (literally speaking) at the BO - what say?
