Action-packed new year for her!
It has been a turbulent year for Amisha Patel but the actress is keen to leave all that behind her now. She is gearing up for the release of two of her films back to back and is looking forward to an action-packed 2005. "Some of my films would have come out in 2004 but the release dates were shuffled around so now all of them will be out this year," she says. The first past the post will be a love story with a hint of mystery while the next release is an action thriller, Amisha compares to a Hollywood action thriller. "The sequences are really slick and I did quite a few stunts myself. It was unnerving especially since we were shooting in harsh conditions but hard work always pays," she says with firm conviction.
The Patel girl is careful about the films she signs and there are certain pre-requisites before she gives the all important nod to a film. "The director should be someone you are comfortable working with. Also the producer is important since a good producer will market the film well, give it the lavish mounting which the storyline deserves. But the most important factor is that your role should stir some passion in you. I focus more on quality rather than quantity now. One might be present throughout the length of the film but if there is nothing substantial to do, the effect is lost."
On the personal front, Amisha claims to be a stronger person after the estrangement with her parents. "There is hurt, there is pain, anguish but more than anything else there is shock. But I also feel that this is the worst that can happen to a person and as such I am ready for anything now. Yes, I am cynical but there is also a bright side. I can start with a clean slate now, something not many people can do," she says.
