Mallika rides high with Murder
Sexy star Mallika Sherawat's kismet may be a little wobbly at the box-office (post the non-performance of her last film), but we spotted the actress living it up at the year and recently. When we asked how she thought the past year had treated her; she immediately replied that it had been fabulous and that even Mahesh Bhatt, her (one-time) mentor with whom she was reported to have fallen out, had called to congratulate her on her success. "Murder is still one of the most successful films of the year," she reiterated, "especially if you look at the fact that it was made on a small budget of Rs 3.5 crore and went on to make a phenomenal Rs 22 crore. What's more, it's still running in some theatres and is being re-released in several places.
