Lawyers aitraaz over Ghai's film!
It's usually pre-release that we hear of PIL cases being filed against films, but Subhash Ghai's Aitraaz is facing problems long after its release and well after the moolah has been raked in. Apparently, a couple of lawyers from Jabalpur have taken offense to the fact that the lawyer in the film, played by Anny Kapoor, actually consumes alcohol while wearing his official robes. And the offended parties are not only taking Mukta Arts to court, but directors Abbas Mustan too. And hold your breath! The Censor Board is also claiming that the scene is actually in contempt! Although Ghai himself was unavailable for comment, a spokesperson for the company confirmed the news. However, he refused to comment further, since the matter was under litigation. But, he assured us that Mukta Arts's legal department was on the case. And we hope the legal eagles have no aitraaz to that!
