If you're still reeling under the onslaught of Priyanka Chopra's sizzling act in Aitraaz, you're in for a shocker with her next. The actress, who played a glamourous modern woman in Ghai's film, actually has a very different image in her forthcoming films. "Barsaat and Waqt are poles apart from what I have done in Aitraaz," she told us. "In Barsaat, I play a totally docile and innocent Indian girl. In Waqt, I play a traditional housewife. In Karm it is a total non-glam, no makeup look for me." Incidentally, her role in the to be released Blackmail looks like it's on the same lines, too. When we enquired if the change in choice of roles was because she had an eye on the awards, pat came the reply, "An actress doesn't have to do an arty film to prove herself. There are a lot of performance-orientede roles in commercial films as well!" Touche. Well said, Priyanka. And we won't be surprised if you walk away with some well-deserved awards for your performance in Aitraaz! And that's no common disclosure.
