Ajay's daring act backfires
Ajay Devgan has been indulging in dare-devilry since his debut in Phool Aur Kaante. But sometimes it can lead to disastrous consequences, like it did recently when Ajay hurt himself while shooting for Prakash Jha's Apharan: Says Jha, "It was a heavy-duty action sequence involving a fisticuff with an extra. Ajay lost his balance, slipped and fell down and his finger was crushed under his own weight. There was also a mild joint dislocation." But will his absence upset the shooting schedule? "Not at all. While Ajay recuperates, Nana Patekar will shoot his portions," clarifies the director, who is touching upon the notorious kidnappings that happen in Bihar in this film. Besides Ajay and Nana, the film also stars Bipasha Basu, Mukesh Tiwari and Akhilendra Mishra. Like all earlier Prakash Jha films, this one too will appeal to a niche audience.
