No lagaan for Swades
Films with social messages are rare, and Ashutosh Gowarikar's Swades is one such story. Understandably, the film is still making news even weeks after its release. And now the Shah Rukh Khan starrer has received an extra boost at the box-office. After being declared tax free in Delhi last week, the film has been awarded the tax free status in Maharashtra as well. And that's not all. For we hear that similar applications have been made in all other states as well. That sure is good news for Shah Rukh fans all over the country and we won't be surprised if such initiatives revitalise the interest in the film. With that done, King Khan can notch up one more on his list of memorable films!
