Yash Chopra- Mr Lova Lova
At the recently-held Berlin Film Festival, Bollywood love epic, Veer Zaara was screened. And veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra created quite a stir at the event. We heard that he was actually called 'Mr Love' by the festival authorities! What was truly touching was that throughout the screening of the Shah Rukh Preity-Rani starrer, even the tough-looking Germans were found reaching for their handkerchiefs. And the crowd of around 400 people clapped throughout as the end credits rolled. But the biggest compliment came when Alexander Kluge, perhaps one of Germany's greatest film-makers expressed his desire to interview the gentleman he termed 'the most romantic man' in the world. More bouquets came in for Chopra, when the Indian High Commission in Germany hosted a special reception in his honour. And the Germans seemed to know as much, if not more, about Chopra and his films, as we do!
