Bad is Good
Bad guys aren't so bad these days. Look at any awards nominee list, and it is evidence enough. Every actor today is vying for the dark spot in their career graphs and they wouldn't bat a lid to play the evil eye if the role is meaty enough. Ageless actor and one of the most remembered villains of Hindi cinema, Prem Chopra, endorses the fact. He says, "During our times, the villain had a different role to play. Most of us were all-out villains, with no shades of goodness. A hero was a hero; a villain was a villain. Nowadays, the scene has drastically changed. Top heroes don't mind playing a villain, and a villain in turn plays the good man. It's quite interesting to see how the good and bad have interchanged." Rightly said there's no clear-cut 'good' or 'bad' left in the film industry today. But then, such is life too, right?
