In the eye of the storm
After a long era away from his fans and junta alike, Aamir Khan is back in the news. For an 'accidental' reason. The nation and the world at large were stunned to hear that the actor par excellence had injured himself while leaving the sets of Rang De Basanti-and in the sensitive region of his eye, at that. Within minutes, the Times Group (and the Indiatimes Movies in particular) was flooded with calls from concerned folks from all over injuiring about the Khan's welfare. We did a quick double check to discover that apparently an iron rod had hit him close to the eye - thankfully, narrowly missing the most delicate parts - and had caused some kind of clot. However, he seemed pretty unperturbed when we spoke to him, asking how he was. "All well" Aamir told us, "I got hit in the eye and burst a blood vessel. I've now got a big clot in my right eye, but thankfully, no real serious damage. Just that it makes me look really evil!" he laughed. So all ye AK supporters out there can rest assured that the 'red-eyed' machine-like' person they catch a glimpse of is no Terminator, though the Rising (considering that Aamir's new release of that name is set to arrive this year) of the machines is an apt way to describe the return of the one-man jugger naut.
