Nagma did not make waves when she breezed into Hindi film scene with her debut Baaghi in 1989, opposite Salman Khan.

She has done Bewafa se Wafa in 1992, King Uncle in 1993 opposite Shahrukh Khan. After a string of Hindi films that did precious little for her she packed her bags from Bombay and took the first flight to Madras. Her last Hindi Film was Kunwara in 2000.

Today Naghma has clawed her way to the top in Tamil and Telegu films where, believe it or not she is being paid a whooping 2 million per film. Kadhalan with 'Prabhu Deva' and Baasha with 'Rajnikant' both big grossers at the box office are mostly responsible for her success down south.
