Tara Sharma had started her career from Ad Films. Her Liril Ad is one of her popular one. She debut in Hindi Cinema from Om Jai Jagdish in 2002 opposite Abhishek Bachchan. It was neither a hit film nor Tara had any scope for acting also. Then she came in Saaya in 2003 opposite John Abrahim, in which the story revolves around her.

This year 2004 her Bardaasht came with Bobby Deol and Masti.
